Miss Brazil 2005 - Carina Beduschi

Carina Schlichting Beduschi (born December 19, 1984 in Florianópolis, Santa Catarina, Brazil) is a beauty pageant contestant who has represented Brazil at the Miss Universe pageant. Her father, Domingos Sávio Beduschi, is of Italian ancestry, and her mother, Helena Márcia Schlichting Beduschi, is of German ancestry.

Beduschi was elected as the 51st Miss Brasil on April 14, 2005 at Copacabana Palace Hotel, in Rio de Janeiro. Before competing at Miss Brasil, she had won Miss Santa Catarina 2005 contest. In May 2005 she competed in the Miss Universe 2005 pageant held in Thailand. A relative of hers, Isabel Cristina Beduschi won Miss Santa Catarina and Miss Brasil contests in 1988.

Beduschi, who is majoring in architecture at private university UNISUL (Universidade do Sul, in Santa Catarina) had to stop her studies at the college during her reign, to be able to fulfill her duties for Organização Miss Brasil Oficial.

She has appeared in magazines such as Caras and pictures of her, taken in Rio de Janeiro were showed in local nespapers, such as O Dia and Extra.

She has been interviewed by TNT channel. Carina has also been an invitee on Luiz Carlos Prattes' show, at CBN Diário and TVCom, and visited the state of Santa Catarina Legislative Assembly.







Miss Dominican Republic 2009 - Ada de la Cruz

Ada Aimée de la Cruz Ramirez (born on June 15, 1986 in Villa Mella, Santo Domingo Province, Dominican Republic) is Miss Dominican Republic 2009 and Miss Universe 2009 first runner-up.

She first came to fame as Miss Dominican Republic World 2007, where she placed in the top 15 at Miss World 2007 and was Miss World Beach Beauty 2007. She later was crowned Miss Dominican Republic Universe 2009. She represented the original home of her grandparents, the Province of San José de Ocoa and represented the Dominican Republic at the Miss Universe 2009 gaining high praise and finishing as First Runner Up.

She is the second woman of mixed African and Spanish heritage to win the Miss Dominican Republic pageant (the first was Ruth Ocumárez in 2001).

Ada was born in Villa Mella and raised in Villa Altagracia and returned to Santo Domingo at the age of 14, lives with her mother Ana Martínez Ramírez, grandparents Celeste Ramírez and Ventura Garabito, her younger brother Adrián and her little cousin. In the Dominican press, she is known as a Dominican Cinderella, in which her grandmother was a maid and her whole family grew up poor.






Miss Colombia 2005 - Valerie Domínguez Tarud

Valerie Domínguez Tarud (born January 12, 1981) was Miss Colombia 2005-2006 and competed at Los Angeles, United States to participate in Miss Universe 2006. Domínguez made the first cut top 20 of the competition where she competed in swimsuit,and made it to the second cut top 10 where she competed in evening gown. She also studied fashion design in Milan, Italy, and is a successful jewelry designer, a family tradition.

Valerie is also widely recognized thanks to her television appearances, and made her debut as Marianne Sajir in "Hasta que la plata nos separe". She also started to enter the Colombian film industry, in the role of Manuela for the film called, "Esto huele mal" by Jorge Ali Triana. It was fairly light in Colombia for the participation of the beautiful actress. She's now in the television drama El Último Matrimonio Feliz. Valerie has a jewelry store in Barranquilla, which exhibits her designs. She will soon open another store in Bogotá.

Valerie is a cousin to singer Shakira and is of Syrian-Lebanese descent. She also is a cousin of Adriana Tarud, who was Miss Colombia in 2004. The two pageant winners are also of Palestinian ancestry via the Tarud side of their family. She is known to have dated NASCAR Business Manager and beverage owner, John Paysor.

Miss Kosovo 2010 - Kështjella Pepshi

Kështjella Pepshi (born 27 July 1987) is a pageant titleholder from Kosovo, who won the national title of Miss Universe Kosovo.  Pepshi grew up in Bern, Switzerland, where she competed in the Miss Bern beauty pageant. Later one she went to her home country, Kosovo and won the Miss Universe Kosovo title in early June 2010. She competed in Miss Universe 2010, but did not place, thus breaking Kosovo's perfect placement record in the Miss Universe competition.

Miss Dominican Republic 2008 - Marianne Cruz González

Marianne Cruz González (April 23, 1985) is the 2008 Miss Dominican Republic and was the second runner-up in the Miss Universe 2008. She was born in Salcedo, Dominican Republic.

Born in Salcedo, Dominican Republic, Marianne is the youngest of three sisters. Her parents got divorced when she was young.

At the age of 16, Cruz began mountain climbing. She has climbed the highest elevation of the West Indies, The Pico Duarte, in Dominican Republic. Cruz is studying fashion design at Santo Domingo, and is the voice of many charity campaigns in Dominican Republic.

She participated in the Miss Dominican Republic 2007 beauty pageant. Despite her popularity, and her being the favorite candidate during the competition, she lost to Massiel Taveras the candidate from the province of Santiago.

Later on Cruz went on to participate in the Miss Continente Americano 2007 beauty pageant. She became the winner having been preceded by Mia Taveras, Miss Dominican Republic Universe 2006.

When Cruz was declared the winner of Miss Continente Americano 2007, many were upset because the Dominican Republic had won this pageant two times in a row by Mia Taveras in 2006 and Marianne Cruz in 2007.

After having disputed this title with 8 beauties coming from various areas of the country. Marianne Cruz 22-year-old became Miss Dominican Republic 2008 and received the crown from Massiel Taveras, Miss Dominican Republic Universe 2007.

After winning, she was given the right to participate on Miss Universe 2008, where she had a controversial but great participation, impressing the judges and getting the title of second runner up, the third highest position Dominican Republic has gotten in Miss Universe, alongside with Renata Soñé and after Ada de la Cruz, first runner up Miss Universe 2009, following Amelia Vega.





  


Czech Miss 2009 - Iveta Lutovská

Iveta Vítová (born Iveta Lutovská, 14 May 1983 in Třeboň, Czechoslovakia) is a pageant titleholder from Czech Republic.

Iveta previously held the title of Miss Model of the World 2007 and most recently was crowned Czech Miss 2009. Iveta represented the Czech Republic at the Miss Universe 2009 pageant on August 23, 2009 in Nassau, Bahamas, where she continued Czech Republic's stake in the Miss Universe pageant by placing in the semifinals for a consecutive third time finishing as a Top 10 finalist.

Iveta married Jaroslava Vít in a ceremony in September 2011, taking the name Vítová.


 

 


Miss Bolivia 2010 - María Olivia Pinheiro Menacho

María Olivia Pinheiro Menacho (born October 29, 1983) is a Bolivian beauty pageant titleholder and model who was crowned Miss Bolivia 2010, and would have represented her country in the 2011 Miss Universe pageant. Pinheiro declined to participate in the international competition after rumors about her real age were revealed to the press.

Born in Andrés Ibáñez, Santa Cruz, Bolivia, to a Brazilian father – hence her fluent Portuguese – and a Bolivian mother (namely José Carlos Pinheiro and Cotty Menacho), Pinheiro started her pageant career in 1999 when, after just turning 16 years old, she represented her country at Miss Model of the World in Turkey and then a year later participated in Queen of the World 2000 in Germany, placing among the Top 10 semifinalists. It's then when Promociones Gloria, organizers of Miss Bolivia, named her Modelo Revelación 2000.

A year later, Pinheiro participated and became one of the favorites at International Queen of Flowers 2001 in Colombia, a pageant that was eventually won by Lilián Villanueva of Mexico. In 2002, she participated in her fourth international competition, Miss Intercontinental in Germany and a year later, represented Bolivia in her fifth contest, International Female Model 2003 in Aruba.

She's also worked as a model in her native Bolivia for the past decade and has been elected Queen of Comparsa at Santa Cruz de la Sierra's carnival celebrations twice: at age 16 as Queen of Chirapas Jrs. 2000 and at age 20 as Queen of Tremendazos 2004.
